BIO
🎤✨Araleigh Marie grew up listening to country and bluegrass music. As a child, she spent most of her summers attending bluegrass festivals with her grandfather and uncle who were both talented musicians, this is where she fell in love with music and performing. Her musical odyssey began in high school, where she learned to play the guitar and ventured into songwriting. College life saw Araleigh as a vocalist and rhythm guitarist in a female band called the “Motets” as well as performing open mics, bluegrass festivals, and other venues with her original compositions. She began to play fingerstyle guitar in college and prefers that for writing her songs. She had a vocal coach who compared her vocal and writing style to that of Joan Baez. Over the years, her sound has also been compared to that of Joy Williams, Nancy Griffith and Rosanne Cash.
Dolly Parton’s “Coat of Many Colors” left an indelible mark on Araleigh when she was younger and influenced her storytelling approach. Over the years, she has drawn upon this storytelling-style and inspiration in many of her songs including her debut single 🌟 “The Day Has Come.” Her musical palette expanded to include influences from many genres including country, bluegrass, folk and Pop. Some of her influences include: Reba McEntire, Celine Dion, Rhonda Vincent, Vince Gill, Dan Tyminski, Russell Moore, and Ed Sheeran.
Araleigh Marie’s musical journey reached a milestone with the release of her solo debut single, “The Day Has Come”, which was co-written and produced with ✨Bryan Clark at Blackbird Studios in Nashville, Tennessee. This soul-stirring composition seamlessly blends classic country tones with a contemporary touch, reflecting her upbringing and influences. Building on this remarkable achievement, Araleigh’s dream is to record her first solo album which would feature a collection of her original compositions.
